Our 2017 Honda CR-V was hit by a softball-sized rock which struck and bent the roof front cross-member just above the windshield. The windshield needed replacing, no big deal, but the roof was a tricky repair. I called my regular auto mechanic who recommended Gerber, since he had done business with them in the past. Also, they are approved by our insurance company, so this was a "no brainer". I filed a claim with our insurance company, and told them we would be taking our car to the Gerber location at Mark Dabling Blvd in Colorado Springs. When I arrived there, they had already been contacted by the insurance company and had prepared all the paperwork. Dave G. the estimator, and one of his top mechanics looked at the damage and estimated the cost to be about $2,100. This seemed reasonable to me, because I had an estimate from ... another body shop of $2,700. The total time to repair was estimated at 11 (business!) days. Dave kept us informed every step of the way, and we were pleasantly surprised to hear that the repairs were ahead of schedule by 3 days. When we picked up the car, it was in immaculate condition. It had been detailed inside and out, and the damage to the roof is not even noticeable. I can't see any waviness or blistering in the paint - it looks like it just rolled off the assembly line.
