Chicago, Illinois – October 12, 2018 – The Boyd Group Inc. (the “Boyd Group”) today announced the October 10, 2018 opening of a collision repair location in Kennewick, Washington. This location previously operated as SonShine Collision Services and has served the market for almost 30 years, 20 years from the current location. Located on the banks of the Columbia River, Kennewick is the largest of three cities that are collectively referred to as the Tri-Cities, which also includes Pasco and Richland. With a combined population approaching 250,000, the Tri-Cities area is the fourth largest metropolitan area in Washington. Kennewick is located about two hours southwest of Spokane and three hours northeast of Portland.

This brownfield development previously operated as a car dealership and most recently a car repair center. Now a Gerber location, this center is located directly off of U.S. Route 167, which spans from Northern Arkansas to Southern Louisiana. CHICAGO, Sept 4, 2018 - Gerber Collision & Glass, a member of the National Auto Body Council (NABC) has restored a vehicle as part of a nationwide vehicle donation program called Recycled Rides. Recycled Rides is a community awareness project whereby members of NABC repair and donate recycled vehicles to people in need. Gerber Collision & Glass partnered with Allstate Insurance to donate a refurbished 2011 Honda Civic.

This center was previously operated as Jay-Bee Collision Repair Center. Kenosha is located in southwestern Wisconsin, about 65 miles north of Chicago and 40 miles south of Milwaukee. This new center is situated four miles from Interstate 94, the well-traveled highway that connects Wisconsin to Northern Illinois.

These centers were previously operated as C & M Collision Center. This operation was founded in Birmingham in 2005.With success in this market, an additional location was opened in the neighbouring city of Bessemer in 2016. Bessemer and Birmingham are cities in Jefferson County, the most highly populated county in Alabama, located at the northern end of the state.
