My twenty year old son and his friends were in a car accident while visiting Akron from Florida. The boys needed to be home within a few days and were stranded without a car because they were under the age to rent one. Mike and the crew at Gerber were awesome. They were able to fix the car in two days and get the boys back on the road home. They turned a very bad experience into a pleasant resolution. The car looks great and we could not be happier. Mike was very patient with all of my phone calls and worked with our insurance company to make sure the boys were home in time. I appreciate all the hard work and patience!

When a tree branch fell on my car, my insurance provider gave me the name of some shops that they "recommended". I picked the one closest to my job in downtown Akron. Best decision I could have possibly made. Ed was the estimator and did a great job of walking me through the process of getting the estimate written up and letting me know what to expect. That was the key. He made the whole process very comfortable and set the expectation on the time frame for completion. But the real kudos are in line for Mike, a worker there who was in the office when I dropped my car off (again telling me the expectations and assuring me that everything would be handled with guaranteed satisfaction). When I picked up the car today, Mike spent more time walking me through the invoice and just really made me feel comfortable. He really went the ... extra mile with my taillight as well (overlooked initially) but had no issue staying a few minutes past closing to get it resolved. The communication aspect of the process was KEY to me and Gerber delivered with 110% satisfaction. Thank you to Ed, Mike and even Leann (front desk) who was extremely helpful. Great job all around - you can tell the culture that Gerber is going for here and all of their employees delivered amazingly. read more

I recently was in my first car accident and was stressed, worried, and unsure of what to do. After filing my claim my insurance agent seemed to disappear. I called gerber and spoke to a man whos named I dont recall. He is tall with dark black hair and his name might be Scott. He went above and beyond when he noticed I was uneasy. He helped me secure an astoundingly cheap rate for a rental and was in contact with me almost daily on the status of my car. "Scott" spoke to me as though I was old friend, this man really cares about his customers. I also dealt with Leah quite often. She is a doll. You probably wont ever find a better person to work your front desk. When I came to pick up my car, Leah greeted me with a sincere smile and Scott came outside and informed me of everything that was done. I felt like I was their only ... customer even though it was clear they were busy. Aside from Scott and Leah, every employee I saw working at Gerber in Akron greeted me despite being busy and seemed happy to be at work. Seeing how happy the techs were at work I knew that quality work had been done. Based on my experience with Gerber in Akron, I will refer everyone I know to your shops and will only go there for any future work that I need. read more

Tony Stabile was in charge of my car and he did an AWESOME job! From start to finish, he knew how important it was to get my car back to pristine condition, the passenger side had been badly damaged and I am VERY PICKY about my "baby" Well, when it was done you couldn't even tell it had been damaged. His people used a subtle artistry to restore my car to better-than-before condition taking special care with every little detail. The end product was just beautiful and I was extremely pleased. will recommend this company to everyone . Gerber ROCKS!

stephen klinger(estimator) put me at ease from the minute I walked thru the door. proffessional,humourous,knowledgeable...I really felt he was in my corner...SO THERE WASN'T ANY NEED TO GO ANY WHERE ELSE!!. my car was finished on time.It looked spectacular.
