My car required repair to driver side doors, front bumper and rear quarter panel of 2005 Honda CRV as a result of accident. Outstanding customer service and communication from the Huron Street Gerber. I was always kept informed of estimates and actual work in terms of dollars and availability of the vehicle. The staff at this location is professional and courteous and the work on the vehicle itself is fantastic. My car looks like new!

My 84 yr old mother was in a terrible accident resulting in $10,000 of damage. I was very concerned about the repairs and how safe the car would be after repairs were done. Rick walked me through the entire repair and contacted me frequently to let me know where repairs stand. I picked up the vehicle and my mother and I were floored! The car looks beautiful. I have never been in a serious car accident before, and I have heard such horror stories about car repair shops. This process was painless. The work on my car was beautiful. The staff called me constantly to update me on my vehicle, so I honestly didn't have to do a thing but pick it up. Having a rental car was also such a fast an easy process. I thought I would have to take a whole day off work to get everything figured out, and I was done with everything in under an hour!

I recently had a car accident, and normally this would be a very stressful situation for me. But after dropping off my car with Tim Dulin, it was probably the easiest experience I could have had. As soon as he was done taking a look at my car enterprise rent a car was there to pick me up within 5 minutes. It only took 3 business days for my car to be repaired. They were fast and efficient. No complaints!

Rick Hiselman, the GM at Gerber on Huron in Chicago personally gave me a quote on the dent in my car. The quote was $500 lower than 2 other places I went! Not only did he give me the personal attention that I SO appreciated, he honored his quote 2 months later when I brought my car in for repair. The whole staff was friendly, thorough and timely; my car looks brand new! Great job to the whole staff! I have already recommended to 5 other friends!

I spoke to several reps during my experience - and each person was helpful, friendly, patient, and kind. Thank you for going above and beyond and smoothing out and gently touching up a previous dent and scratch on my left rear door. Many thanks to Tim who efficiently and completely saw to the repair of my 2006 Mercury Mariner. I had not had an auto damage claim for 36 years. Was leaving a storage center - always pulled in - this time backed in - and when driving out the door didn't go down. Unfortunately I decided to do a good turn and pull over - go into the side door and lower the door. Because I backed in - I didn't see the fire hydrant right outside the storage building door. When I tried to pull over - CRUNCH! the right bumper cracked and the turn signal broke! Tim was great, I was able to get to work, he kept me updated and I retrieved my car, clean, repaired good as new. Tim and staff were very efficient with a nice attitude

I went into the Gerber Collision And Glass facility at 1060 West Huron St. in Chicago, on Monday of this week. My driver’s side door was pulled slightly off track in a terrific windstorm several weeks ago. After this incident I would often hear the wind howling as I drove if the door didn’t close just right. Originally, I took the car into the Toyota Dealership, where I bought it, and after an hour of examining the car and gathering much information I was given two possible estimates; one for a bit over $100 and a second estimate for about $300 if a hinge needed to be replaced. I was told that they would have to order the part and it could take about two weeks to arrive. I decided that I needed a second estimate and ended up at Gerber Collision. I was met as I entered by Mr. Danny Contreras who immediately arose from his desk and gave me ... a warm, friendly greeting. I told him about the windstorm as he followed me to the car. He looked it over for less than two minutes. He pointed out the misalignment and told me that I might need a hinge for about $90. He wanted to show it to one of the technicians as he thought it really would be a quick fix. He said it would take about 10 minutes. Less than 10 minutes later he asked me to come out to the car. The door was realigned and shut perfectly each time I opened and shut it. In addition he had the car washed for me. When I asked how much I owed him he said, “Oh there’s no charge.” He flashed me another warm smile. Now that is what I call, “Knock your socks off,” customer service! You can bet I’ll be telling all my friends about Gerber Collision And Glass. read more
