I had to get my new 2012 kia fix. Someone keyed the back the day after I brought it home from the dealer. So when I had a chance I went to see Gerber in Elgin to find out how much it would cost to get it fix. Jennifer McCollum set me at ease after I got the estimateand told me to check with my insurance company because my type of service was for comprehensive not collision and therefore the deductable might be less. So I checked and sure enough Jennifer was correct, my deductable was less then my collision deductable. So I was able to get my new car fixed. I would recommend this gerber location in Elgin to anyone who needs car repairs. This one was just down the road from where I live and was very easy to get to and Jennifer made the process very easy to get my car fixed. She told me up front how long it would take to get fix and she was ... correct. She also was helpful with the process of renting a rental car while the car was being fixed. She made it very easy by calling the rental car place, enterprise and they came to Gerber to pick me up and take me back to their place and get a car. Then it was very easy to return the car. I could just leave it at Gerber and they would let enterprise know I had dropped off the car. I didn't have to go through the hassle of taking the car back to the rental place and have them take me back to Gerber to get my car. I am a very satisfied customer! Never have I received such great service. When I called, it was close to closing and Jennifer said come in, I'll take a look. She taped my bumper so it would not blow off on the expressway and ordered the part. I was called when my part came in the next day and went in early the following day for the repair. A porter drove me to work. I was called on both phones when it was ready and they even offered to pick me up from work (although I already had a ride.) It was repaired expertly and quickly and the cost was less than I was expecting. I was very impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of all the contacts I worked with. Good job! Hope I don't have to come back, but if I have another collision, I will be back there!

Jennifer, I just wanted to say thanks to you and the team over there at Gerber for the work you guys did on my POS (its a hyundai, but its paid off so it makes it better, and faster...) and for getting me back on the road on 2 Aug. Had to be back here in MD on the 3rd so everything worked out great. I have put another 1000 miles on it since I got it back from you guys and everything seems to be in working order. Thanks again, and maybe ill drop off a case of beer next time I'm around the Elgin area.

Thia is actually the second time I have utillized the services of the great individuals at this shop. The first time was two years ago, when I received an inflated estimate at another shop. I came to Gerber and was given an estimate of one third the cost of the original. And the work was great! Last week I came in for what I believed to be a part replacement. The wonderful people at Gerber decided that it was a repair, not a replacement. They immediately conducted the repair and then declined to charge me for it! During this process I was offered coffee and made comfortable. They have a customer for life!

brought car in after we in accident for rear fender repair. estimate was given and work would take 2-3 days. to our surprise it was done in one day and estimate was lower then originally given. they did a beautiful job and the people were friendly.

We just pulled in one afternoon to an estimate and Jennifer came out very promptly, professionaly made the estimate, listened to our story good naturedly with a smile. After making arrangements to get the work done she greeted me at drop of and was there at pick up. She's a keeper. Having a dependable, friendly, professional gal like her on staff is a definite plus for all. And my car looks fabulous so kudo's all around, shop folks, receptionist, it was all good.
