When my daughter was side-swiped at a red light, scraping the back left panel, a friend recommended Gerber Collision & Glass in Evanston. I explained to the manager that I just wanted the thing patched up and not the whole panel replaced, as we intended to keep the car until it was worn out, so re-sale value wasn't an issue. (The driver who hit the car just sped away.) Robert did not try to talk me into the full repair (which would have been over $700, the amount of our deductible), but he and his staff buffed the side a bit and touched up the paint, taking about 20 minutes to do so. And he wouldn't accept payment!! Even though I pressed, he said it was such a little job it was on the house. I was so grateful not to have a big out-of-pocket expense for this accident. As a new driver of our first car, I scratched the paint and dented the fender of our fairly new Nissan Rogue. Calvin Baptiste provided me with an estimated costs for the repairs within 15 minutes. The repairs included bending the fender back in original shape and painting it (two other repair shops said repair will require replacement of fender). The estimate was comparable to that from another repair shop. The repairs were completed one day early and associate from the shop called me to notify me. The repairs were done very well--the car looks like new and the repainted fender is indistinguishable from the rest of the car. Gerber Collision and Glass was recommended to me by my insurance agency and insurance paid part of the cost of the repairs. I am happy to have the car back looking good. The folks at your Evanston location did some non-automotive custom work for me. Rob and Rachel were fantastic and very helpful. Great end results. Gerber also repaired my damaged Prius about two years (Skokie location) ago and did outstanding work. Coincidently, Rob was the same guy who did the work up on the Prius. I just recommended Gerber yesterday to a neighbor in need of collision repair based on my two outstanding experiences with you.

I visited the Gerber store on Green Bay Road in Evanston to clean up scrapes on a bumper before selling the car. The store manager informed me that we would never recoup the money. He said they could clean it up make it look presentable which they did quite well and quickly. The charge for the work was unbelievably reasonable. Great work for a great price; the shop will get all of our work moving forward.

Although I never look forward to going to a collision repair shop going to Gerber makes it pleasant to undo whatever damage has been done to your vehicle. They are very professional at this location - quick to give estimates and throughly explain what needs to be done and options you have. Today I had the side mirror on my SUV replaced because someone hit it as they passed my car when it was parket on the street. On Monday I got an estimate from Peter which took less than 10 minutes. I agreed to have the work done and he must have ordered the part right away because by Wednesday they received the mirror and finished painting it to match my vehicle. When I stopped in today they had it all done in 25 minutes while I waited.
