My insurance company referred me to Gerber Collision and Glass, in Skokie, IL, to have my car repaired after a small accident. David Martinez, was the Estimator who helped me through the whole process. Originally, I was just going to have the work done that would be covered by my insurance, but when I learned that I would be given ride between Gerber and home, and figured out that I would have enough money to pay for the repairs within my credit card billing cycle, I decided to go ahead and have two other damaged places on my car also repaired there. David was very pleasant to work with. He has a cheerful demeanor, which is helpful when you are feeling bad about your accident and your car and worried about getting along without it. David is very efficient and his communication skills are excellent. I was very happy to have him as my ... contact at Gerber. Also, when I went back to pick up my car, I could not tell the repairs from the rest of the car! It was a great job! I did spot one tiny place where there was a tiny chip of paint. David and I agreed that it was not in a panel that had been repaired, but he had it touched up immediately without charge! I was also pleased that the company provides transportation home and then back to Gerber to retrieve your car. The young employee who gave me a ride, John (or “Deeno,”) was polite, pleasant, and a good driver. David Martinez is sharp. Service was excellent. We were rear-ended a couple of years ago and Gerber did the repair. Service was excellent then, too. So this time I told USAA I wanted Gerber again.
